Our skin reflects our health and lifestyle. With the help of red light therapy, not only can the appearance of the skin be improved, but overall cell energy can also be revitalized, enhancing overall well-being.
In red light therapy, specific areas of your body are targeted with special light waves. This light penetrates deeply into the skin and activates mitochondria – the powerhouses of your cells – which can result in a variety of health benefits.
NOTE: Red light and infrared light are not the same and should not be confused:
► Red Light Therapy (RLT): Uses wavelengths in the visible light spectrum, mainly in the range of 620 to 700 nanometers (nm). These penetrate less deeply into the tissue compared to infrared light.
► Infrared Therapy (IR): Uses wavelengths in the near-infrared spectrum, typically in the range of 700 to 1100 nm. These wavelengths are not visible to the human eye and can penetrate deeper into the tissue than red light.
Red light therapy uses red and near-infrared light to specifically stimulate the cells' energy production – similar to the morning sunlight. This stimulation increases physical and mental performance as well as overall well-being. Mitochondria are activated to produce more cell energy, which leads to improvements in physical and mental fitness, overall well-being, and energy levels.
Here are the most well-known benefits of red light therapy:
► Promotes Collagen Production: Collagen contributes to more beautiful skin, reduces wrinkles, and improves skin texture.
►Can Help with Skin Problems: Reduces acne and blemishes. Can alleviate psoriasis and eczema.
► Hormonal Balance: Can positively affect thyroid function as well as melatonin and testosterone production.
You position yourself between the two red light panels so that all intended body areas are fully exposed to the light. Wear the provided protective goggles and close your eyes.
If needed, dab any sweaty skin areas during the session. The duration of the session varies according to individual needs and medical protocol.
After the session, make sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and optimally support your body.
Combine red light therapy with hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) or altitude training therapy (IHHT). These complementary treatments enhance anti-inflammatory effects, promote circulation, and support tissue healing.
